Drug Abuse

Nearly 35 million people across the globe are said to be suffering from drug abuse. Providing helplines, effective rehabilitation and spreading awareness with the right information is the key to tackling this situation. The numbers are increasing by the day and the idea that more and more youngsters are involved in it is worrying.
75% of Indian homes have at least one drug user, sometimes as young as 13.

Drug-free India campaign

Campaign to raise awareness about the major challenge that illicit drugs represent to society as a whole, and especially to the young. The goal of the campaign is to mobilize support and inspire people to act against drug use. The campaign will include awareness generation, focus on schools and colleges, community outreach, focus on treatment facilities at hospitals and capacity-building for service providers.

De-addiction centers

Global Socio Economic Association Of Innovators (GSEAI) propose to set up 10 Drug de-addiction center’s in across different Districts in Kerala as part of its Drug-free India campaign project against alcoholism and drug abuse.

The drug de-addiction center’s will provide services for identification of addicts, motivational counselling, detoxification/de-addiction and whole person recovery, after care and reintegration into the social mainstream

It has been observed that at many places drug de-addiction centers lack psychological input across India which is very important without that we can not expect good recovery results. Keeping that in mind Gseai started this course so that staff and professionals can be trained  to provide better quality intervention and results.
